“Father of the iPod” invents possibly the coolest thermostat ever
Yes, a thermostat. Invented by former Apple engineer Tony Fadell, the Nest thermostat not only is the coolest looking thermostat ever, it’s smart as hell, too. It learns what temps you like, when you go to sleep, when you wake up, when you come and go from work, the difference between day and night and adjusts itself accordingly to the most energy-efficient settings.
The Nest goes on sale next month for $250, but is estimated to save you 20-30% on your energy bill.
